Dobot MG400 collaborative robot for education and research

Develop Future Robot Solution Engineers, Operators, and Leaders

Cobots and AMRs are widely used in Universities, Colleges, and Schools for education and research purposes.

Cobots such as the Sawyer from Rethink Robotics GmbH, and the MG400 and CR line from Dobot, have easy-to-program graphical user Interface programming. They also allow an SDK mode for education, research, and advanced application programming. This makes for easy robot controls, the use of ROS, and integration with Python, AI developments, and other programming languages.

The Sawyer Collaborative Robots from Rethink Robotics continue to be used at leading U.S. universities and research and development labs.  These capable and fully integrated robots allow for programming in an SDK mode for exceptional access to controls and integration.

The Sawyers (and the Baxter predecessor) were basically the first humanoid robots in full production for industry.  They include force sensing in all joints and a built in vision system.

Applications

Check out some of the education and research application videos and see how easy it can be to learn, use, and program a cobot. If you are in education, consider adding cobots and AMRs into your programs to develop the next generation of robot programers, engineers, manufacturing professionals, or educators.
