Autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) are used in automated material handling systems that transport materials throughout a facility. Unlike earlier iterations of industrial AMRs that required magnetic tape or fixed guided paths, the ATI Sherpa line uses a 3D Lidar sensor to map the facility as it already exists, reducing the need for any massive process upheaval. Additionally, Ati Flow allows for robot navigation to be fluid and flexible, changing routes based on changing conditions, and enabling robots to interface with other sensors or AMRs in your system.

Line-Side Delivery & Replenishment

An AMR delivers material to the line side on a set schedule or in response to a call button or kanban signal, keeping material available without tying up a person on delivery runs.

WIP Movement Between Production Area

Semi-finished parts, totes, and racks often sit waiting between process steps because moving them depends on someone being available to make the trip. An AMR carries WIP between machining, inspection, assembly, and other production areas on a repeatable route, keeping work moving instead of waiting at the handoff between processes.

Pallet Movement & Transfer
